The Castle Adventure

It was the night of halloween so I was dressed up in my costume.

I wandered down the street going house to house but no one was home.

But as I strolled down the street it had got darker. The moon came out but I wasn’t going home until I had some candy. My stomach grumbled but I kept going and going till suddenly ... I found a random road that I had never been down! So off I went scampering down the road.

I was so busy thinking about what type of candy was my favorite that I didn't see the enormous medieval castle. Around it was a moat. In the moat were ugly crocodiles with leathery skin and blazing red eyes. Beside the crocodiles were piranhas with enormous teeth.

I thought that I was going to faint! It was so unreal!! It looked like I was in a movie scene.

What was in the castle I didn’t know ... so I had to find out.

Just then a sound drifting out of the woods caught my attention. It sounded like a person walking.

So I took a peep and there I saw an ugly old green witch!!!!!!! She had pimples and warts all over her face, a pointy hat and a broom stick.

I sprinted as fast as I could ... so fast that the old rotten wooden planks on the  bridge didn’t break and so fast the crocodiles and the piranhas didn’t get me and so fast that I sprinted into the door with a holt!

With all my might I pulled the handle. I stumbled inside and closed my eyes as I didn’t want to know what was there! I sat in silence. After a while I opened my eyes and saw, on the wall in front of me, giant spiders and spider webs.

It was cold and damp in the castle. I stared silently at the spiders but they looked fake to me as they didn’t move.

As I stalked around the room I discovered a coffin. Beside it was a path. Following it I came across some stairs. Slowly I walked up them, step by step.

It was dark but as I walked up the stairs it got lighter and lighter. There must have been a light. But after a bit it started to get darker again.

So I slowed down a bit. I noticed that there was water dripping down from the roof.

It was getting late now. I started to get tired. Finally I stumbled across a door and wondered what would be behind it.

So I grabbed the handle and pushed!!

“Happy Halloween!!,” Tyler yelled as I walked in. Then he asked, “Why did you came so late?”

“Because I didn’t know that there was a party on,” I replied.

“Oh I think Sam forgot to tell you to come to her party,” said Anneke butting in.

After the party Anneke parents drove me home.

Just as we got to my house I asked Anneke, “Why was that road there that had the castle on it?”

“It’s new. So is the castle.”

“Bye. Thank you.”

When I walked inside mum asked me why it took so long.

“It’s a long story. I will tell you in the morning.”

Skiing

The mountain looked like it was Vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips on top as the rocks. I had put my sun glass on because it was so sunny. As we drove up the mountain we came to a holt as we reached the car park. We had never had to park so far back before we jumped out of the car. Just then a car pulled up beside us ... it was the Digbys.
I whipped on my ski gear and walked to the rentals. I threw  off my gumboots and I waited for mum. The lady told me to put my gumboots in the big bin. I asked mum for my card and I whizzed off to get my boots. I gave her my card and she gave me some boots. Then I put one on and whizzed to get my skis.
Then some one yelled out my name. It was Mrs Cuming telling me to get my mountain pass on.
After I did that I sped off to get my skis. I jumped in line, gave the lady my card and my boot. She gave me my skis and I grabbed some ski poles.
Off I went...
 I raced down to the learners slope. I skied down to the pommel. When I came back up Mrs Fielder said to go to the chairlift and head up to my lesson. I hopped in line up we went my lesson.

Nikki the nick knacker will steel Sarah the strawberry and put chocolate on her and gobble her up the fruit bowl schemed in houer they peed there skins off and they had to go nally the nurse to get there skins back on again after that they had a nice soothing spa to celebrate  her death  

marbles

Clonk, clonk, clonk, is the sound of two marbles meeting with their big, hard armour and smooth sides making  them indestructible. Made in any colour, stripes, rainbows - even eye balls! When you hold it up to the sun it shines like an angel flying in the sky.

polar blast

last night we had a big polar blast which is a big storm coming up from the south pole.the storm has wind, snow,and  rain.we had school cross country on Friday it had been cancel or else all the little baby's will cry and moan.but last cross country it was hailing when my race started so I just had to keep on running or I was going to lose.in the end I came 3rd  

walnut picking

last monday we drive to my house and picked up walnuts.Dad got us some rakes and we rake up a pile of leaves and then all the walnuts were lift on the ground.Hey guys lets have a competition who can throw the most nuts in the bucket  said Mrs maniar but you you have to stay be hide the line or it want count  

beards fair well

on Friday we had fair well lunch at school for he beards.
 the parents said some speeches so did  Hannah  and Cole then I give them a card that the school made for them then we had lunch after we went out side and played some games  

hoilday story brooke 2013

As we pulled up at the zip line I jumped with exsitment because my dad is going to do a zip line.
I asked mum if I could do it she said I might be able to do you want me to ask the man
yes you if you are 30kg you can did it and I was only just able to so I jumped in my harness and I ran up to dad and Aunty Rachel  told them that I can do it with them the lady told us to get into pairs I grabbed dads arm i'm with you.
who wants to go first we do I said ok I am going to clib you on to a rope so that you don't fall of and die and then i am going to count to 3 and then you jump of and you zip down to to the other side then there will be a guy down  the to catch you ok
1 2 3 go ...  zipped down like a rocket dad was going so fast and he way ahead of me on the next zip line you wall be able to see Auckland and the sky tower.
     

apiti got talent

When I was 5 mum asked me if I wanted to do ballet and I said yes. Now I am 9 so I have been doing ballet for 4 years now.
 I am grade 3 I started at preprimary then primary,grade1, grade2, garde3 and I am sitting my exam for grade 4.
I wish to to do it for many more years.
I am doing a from primary it a dress up dance.
Its when a girl s into a attack and then her parent finds out. after that my mum came out like Tina sang your sipmpley the best  

marble story

Marble in my belly

One night I went to bed, I woke up to go to the toilet so I reached up to turn my lamp on.  There was a marble next to the lamp and I accidentally grabbed the marble, then I tried to put it back on the table but then I accidentally dropped it in my mouth. I got up and I felt it roll down my throat I tried to cough it back up.  I turned my lamp on and went down stairs to mum in the lounge. I told her what I did then she said that she will ring the doctor and find out what to do.  She told me to go to bed and she will come up to my room and tell me what the doctor said in a little while. A couple  of minutes later she came up and she said that I will just poop it out and you don't need to worry.

on Thursday 16 of may 2013 we went up to moakoa lodge and got lot of fresh vegetables

coin toss huh!!!!!

Our annual ripper rugby competition was held on Monday the 8th of April at the Palmy show grounds. Kimbolton and Apiti schools combined to make a ripper rugby team. The aim was to choose a curtain-raiser for the Super 15 game. Kimbolton and Apiti joined together to become Northern Oroua. In the end e\we had a draw with another team in the semi's so we had to do coin toss. Aubyn had to do it and he chose tails but it was a 50/50 chance but the other team got heads so they went on to the semi's.

The Takahe has a very weird colour; some places green and some places blue.

It is fat with rough feathers. The bright red beak has brown spots from scraping it on stones.

 It is not as graceful as a pukeko but its legs are like they are pointing their toes before they take a step while wandering free.

Moving like a turkey, they bob along moving their necks every time they step.

You might think they are common but they are really rare.

There is only 3 on the north end ... Mum / Dad / Baby

"Everyone remember to not go out side eating because the Kaka will eat your food."
Nek minute!!
Zahn walks out side eating the last mouthful of his biscuit.
And swooping down from the door a hungry Kaka landed on his shoulder.
It opened up his mouth and took the food out. He screamed...
And the bird flew away that second.

Brooke camp recount

"That walk was so tiring," whined Joanne. My legs are so sore and she pretended to fall over.
"Oh on! Joanne's dead," I cried.
Then the boat arrived so I left her there. But she didn't get up so I thought that she had fainted but when I went over to her I realised she was just  pretending.
"Come on. Let's go onto the boat."
We watched the water come up from the back of the boat.
It looked like a water fountain. You could only just hear everyone saying, "Wooowww!!!!!"
When we got there we all ran to the camp site and lay down on the grass.
After we set up the tents we had some thing to eat.
Mrs Cuming said to not go out side eating your food or a Kaka will eat the food out of your mouth.
Nek minute ... Zahn walked out side eating the last mouthful of his biscuit and a hungry Kaka swooped down from the door and ate it from out of his mouth and he screamed. The Kaka flew away that second.

Splash! Johnny screamed.
