When I got home from dance my brother was cooking dinner until he got a phone from I don’t know who. They were talking for ages so I decided to hang out the washing on the line for mum down in the living room. Suddenly I heard a loud scream so I ran into the kitchen where the pan was on fire my brother had forgotten about the food. Then he grabbed a fire extinguisher and put the fire out.

Summary:

The ganges is one of the greatest rivers on earth,but it's dying.

From the icy himalayan peaks right down to the bay of bengal it's slowly being poisoned it is also the sewer that carries away the waste.

Pollution from the factories and farms has turned its waters toxic.

The first action plan 30 years ago was to make a series of huge sewage plants. Most are working way below capacity or not working at all.

They are going to build more plants but at the moment only a third of the city is connected to the sewers

The rest just goes straight into the ganges.

Sitting in front of the fire watching tv and on was the news it was on a ferociously windy wet cold and stormy thursday night after a long and wet netball practice which was soon fixed by a nice hot bath and a bowl of a nice hot soup in my tummy when suddenly there was a loud crash then as if some had set a bomb of and a big gush of water even more than before and it also seemed like someone an enormous bucket of water then then the lights went out and I was sitting by the fire by myself when I remembered that dad was in the kitchen loading up the dishwasher and mum was giving my brother a bath and my sister was sitting on the couch watching the news too so I reached over and grabbed the matches and a candle  light the candle and slowly stumbled down the hallway to my mum she was holding my brother and slowly walking to the fire so i rescued her then I went to save my dad walking back with him I got to excited and as the flame flickered and then went out I suddenly started to panic but my dad guided my through the doorway where we all sat until the power turned pack on again we made a plan to grab  all the torches and candles and put them everywhere just in cause the power goes out again.

but mum I don’t wanna go to bed !!!!but you have to it's a school night and you don’t want to fall asleep in that spelling test that you have been getting ready for all week now go and brush your teeth. After brushing my teeth I walk down the hallway past my brothers room when my mum says to him now it's time to go to sleep and who knows what you’ll dream about tonight dragons monsters anything

Dream 1

Puffing and puffing the forest is getting thicker no thicker I can’t keep running like this forever I will have to stop but where. Will it get me I keep running its starting to get darker now I will have to stop and so I look around wait what am I running from where am I going and most importantly where am I and how did I get here I keep running trying to find civilization luckily I am a very good runner which has helped me a bit and how I came to this horrible place wait I am dreaming ….. No I don’t think so i’m really not sure I just wish i’d wake up.then when I decided  to stop I climb into a tree and sit myself in between two branches.I woke and the sun was shining and the birds were singing and as I looked around I was in my room I must have been dreaming

What flavour ice cream will that be sir snakes and ladders please sure here you go i’m excuse me the cone on my sons ice cream broke would you like me to replace that for you yes please. Now what would you like little boy macaroni and cheese please oh i’m sorry but we don’t have that oh well I will have mango sorbet then sorry we don’t sell sorbet oooohhhh then I will have a triple scoop of strawberry vanilla and chocolate. Chocolate at the bottom strawberry at the top and vanilla in the middle TIME TO GET READY FOR SCHOOL

Friday the 8th of April was the Manawatu Sam Strahan Rippa Rugby Competition for schools with under 100 students. We, Northern Oroua, had some pretty tough competition with teams from Waituna West, Linton Camp, Kiwitea, Rongotea, Colyton, Longburn and Bainesse. Last year we won the cup so we were ready to win again.

A quick run around the field and some passes. We were ready for our first game against Rongotea Tigers. Our starting team was Lochy, Liam, Remy,Dylan, Brooke, Le-Arna and Oliva and our subs were Hunter, Bonnie and Charlotte.after two more games and were pleased to make the Quarter final then the semifinal.But the last game against colyton This was a nail biting game this meant it was a tough one. Each time they scored a try we tryed to score one in returned with a try. At full time we lost 4-9. It was a great day. Thank you to the Turbos for organising it!  -  By Brooke
